Richard Snape

Richard has worked as a consultant for DJB since 2002. He was formerly a senior lecturer in law and Head of Land Law at the University of West of England, Bristol. He does numerous courses for law societies all over the country, various public courses, in-house seminars within solicitors firm and has also talked extensively to local authorities and central government bodies such as the Ministry of Defence, National Health Service and HM Revenue & Customs. He has also lectured within the Land Registry and has written various articles for the legal press.
Richard’s areas of specialism include both commercial and residential property, in relation to local government law, domestic conveyancing issues, development land, commercial property and incumbrances in relation to land.

Lorraine is an experienced property solicitor who has practice and teaching experience and is a popular conference speaker. She is now freelance but when in practice she ran a branch office and being a partner, Lorraine was the COLP for her firm.
She also designs and delivers property and legal skills related courses, on line materials and webinars.
Lorraine has developed a skill for writing and delivering webinars and aims to produce work that is both interesting and accessible for the viewer. Lorraine is the major contributor to the monthly update journal for practitioners, the ‘Practical Lawyer.’
Linda Wright MBA DipTP – Planning Strategist

Linda is an independent consultant and ‘Planning Strategist’, public speaker, broadcaster, trainer, writer and has been described as an ‘influencer’ since she dipped a toe into the world of YouTube videos. Her company is PLANiTWRiGHT Ltd advising on various developments and obtaining planning permission for property developers and investors across England and Wales.
She has enjoyed a varied and successful career in planning in both the public and private sectors – with the result that she has usually seen most planning problems before. Her pragmatic approach and insight into the planning system have been described as ‘invaluable’. She is truly a gamekeeper turned poacher.
Linda’s presenting style is both informative and entertaining – she says – ‘Let’s face it the English planning system can be a minefield, so we have to inject a little humour and common sense to make it tolerable.’
